Pass IBM Certification Exams For Sure
IBM have released details of a new IBM certification exam for the profiling tool Information Analyzer version 8.0. Part of the IBM Information Server.
At the IBM Information on Demand Conference 2007 in October this year IBM will be offering training for certification in DataStage 7.5, QualityStage 7.5 and Information Analyzer 8.0. You can read my previous post Study Guide for DataStage Certification and other DataStage certification news.
Information Analyzer 8 is the first certification exam for one of the IBM Information Server version 8 products. IBM has never before had a certification for a profiling tool, probably because they never had a profiling tool. On the Sunday before the conference you can sit in on a one day refresher on the product that covers all the topics in the exam. It’s a timely refresher because you can sit for Complimentary IBM Professional Certification during the conference!
Best of all this gets you entry into the conference Certification Members’ Lounge - a place where certified professionals can relax and enjoy the cafe and get massages and fed grapes and you wear a grass crown and people have to applaud you when you enter the room.

Note: This is a course to review Certification topics only. You should have previously completed the identified prerequisites. (Information Analyzer Essentials training or product experience).

14, 2007 at the IBM Information On Demand conference in Las Vegas, NV.
There is no rush to produce a version 8 exam for DataStage as the job building process is almost the same - with additions such as parameter sets, slowly changing dimension stage and range lookups which are sure to add some new questions to the version 7.5. exam.
The QualityStage 7.5 exam will need to be overhauled as the interface is moved onto the DataStage and QualityStage Designer. While the GUI changes many of the core quality functions are the same and knowledge of version 7.5 gives you a very big head start in using version 8. I haven’t sat for QualityStage certification yet as I’m waiting for a QualityStage 8 version.
